Kendra Gottlieb


Kendra received her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from Texas A&M University, and then earned her Master’s degree in Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin; she is a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner. Kendra started her nursing career in the Intensive Care Unit at University Medical Center Brackenridge, and then moved to San Francisco as a travel nurse in the ICU at Highland Hospital in Oakland. She had the opportunity to work with a group of Immunologists in San Francisco as a plasmapheresis specialist, which is where her passion for patient education was sparked.
Upon returning to Austin, Kendra spent 4 years on the orthopedic trauma floor at Brackenridge. She also has a background in nursing education, and was nursing faculty at Austin Community College prior to joining Texas Diabetes. Kendra loves patient education, and collaborating with her patients to help them obtain the best outcome possible. Kendra was born and raised in Austin, TX. She loves to spend her free time exploring the Hill Country, discovering new restaurants, listening to live music, exercising and spending time with her family and friends.
